How do you get people to call back after leaving a message?

I would not offer any special incentives to get people to return your call. Once you do that, they will come to expect it.

One of the best tips that I can give you when it comes to getting customers to take your calls, and especially potential hostesses, is to start pay attention to the way you talk to them.

What I have seen in this business, time and time again, is that most direct sellers talk to their customers and hostesses in a parental voice. When we talk to people in a parental voice, they tend to act like children. And what do children do to their parents? (think of teenagers) They rebel.

Customers and hostesses do this by not calling us back, not getting guests lists to us, not inviting enough people to their party, not calling until the day before or the day of the party to cancel, etc.

A great book to better understand this whole concept is "Born to Win." I highly recommend reading it, if you plan on remaining in this business.

One of the best ways I know of to start a relationship with a prospect and/or customer is to talk to them like adults.
