I think the biggest thing I learned was to be myself and stop doing the voice, you know the 'salesperson voice' as my husband calls it. It was easier for me to be less afraid to make calls if I was playing the part of a salesperson on the phone, but let me tell you, it's exhausting! I'm much more relaxed now and not so overly enthusiastic. Thank you Tammy!
Thanks Tammy for the great new propective on approaching customers! I think this is just the ticket for me, I have always felt a little awkward being too enthusiastic and pushy and this gives me hope and the jump start I need for the new year!

I got so much from the seminar and could really see where I was doing things wrong! Addressing personal things first, if I knew the person, before I told them about Silpada (which made me feel phony but I didn't know why) and giving too much information, even at my parties.I hate pushy sales people and having never done sales before, I have had a hard time finding the right balance. Listening to you has let me see how to find that balance. My upline, who is great by the way, told me when I started that I would make a great rep because of my enthusiasm for the jewelry. However, I see now that I was coming across too enthusiastically. Ihave gotten you ezine for a few months now and read it every week. But this very basic information in the seminar was so good that I am going to buy Carpe Phonum as well! The seminar was worth way more than I paid!Thank you so much!

I had many aha moments on your jump start your business teleseminar. We all started from the same place regardless of where we were in our business. I loved hearing why customers take their business elsewhere and boy did it stop some of that phone phobia. Customers really do want to hear from us and not always when we want or need something from them.

I've been on countless conference calls and teleseminars and they have all benefitted my business in some way. But what I loved about this one is that Tammy didn't just tell you what you needed to do...she explained why you needed to do it, what would happen if you didn't do it, and then she gave step by step instruction on HOW do to it. She is practical and tells it like it is because she understands this business.

I enjoyed listening to your advise at our conference that I had to registered for this teleseminar. You brought quite a few points that did apply to me, for many reasons I had not been keeping contact with my customers and I felt afraid to call them. Hi Tammy! It's always interesting to listen and find out just what hits you between the eyes. I've been with lia sophia over 10 yrs. and was a corporate sales trainer and stockbroker prior to that time. My two biggest takeaways were that I do get overly" enthusiastic. We have in my mind, the most generous hostess program in the world, and one of the best start up costs out there, as well as an ironclad lifetime warranty. I call us the Tupperware of fashion jewelry and people get that. But then I get diarrhea of the mouth. Enough already, right?! I also gave date 1 and date 2, and did push people in the corner. Funny thing is, others in your industry endorse and promote the pushiness. I have managers and advisor in my downline who push more than they should (probably got it from me!). I am seeing that a concise offer, clear quickk presentation, and make it about THEIR wants/needs, is a much better solution. Thank you so very much. I'm looking forward to the scripts and using parts/honing it my personal verbiage, but sprinkled with your clear no-nonsense approach, and make it more "gentle".
This was a Christmas present to myself and it was the best present I've received in a long time. My previous training always presumed that the customer would say Yes, either immediately or after I tried to overcome their objections. It never happened like that. I thought it was me but Tammy explained that it just doesn't work that way. It's not a tennis match between you and your prospect, you don't need to win them over. You need to see and understand where they're coming from and from their point of view and work with them. If you allow them to say No to you, they won't be afraid to talk with you. They won't ignore your call and delete it off the answering machine. Tammy explained how customers think, and what the natural process of sales is. She role played for us, both the right way and the wrong way. She also broke the mold of traditional seminar speakers ˆ she actually spent the entire time giving us information and explaining how sales works rather than wasting our time by telling us all about her qualifications, selling her wares and regaling us with special one-time only discounts. She told us how to network; how to take the pressure off and not be so desperate that our prospects run away from us. She‚s got a wonderful, common-sense, down to earth approach to direct sales that spoke to me.

Oh my goodness -- what a wealth of information. I learned so much and I cannot wait for the replay so that I can listen over and over again to glean those things that I missed!!! The main thing that I want to implement, just from listening yesterday, is customer care -- I NEVER realized the percentage of people who will leave your business -- regardless of how much they love your products and you -- because of lack of follow-up.
